What's new at Paris for Kids + Atelier 48

Bonjour from Paris,

Paris is back in its rhythm, and so are we. October has arrived, the leaves are turning, and Paris has found its rhythm again.

La rentrée seemed to change the city overnight: longer bakery queues, busier terraces, and school gates once again filled with parents, kids, and scooters. September gave us plenty of golden, sunny days too, perfect for being out and about in Paris.

Our own season started busy and joyful. The late Labor Day weekend and September holidays brought lots of American families our way, and we loved welcoming you on our tours, into our workshops, and around the table at Atelier 48.

Now we’re settling into fall with new tours, new workshops, our first Paris pen pals getting ready to write, and plenty happening at Atelier 48.

Our English classes are back too, so get in touch if you’d like the current schedule.

À bientôt, Aly Founder, Paris for Kids

What's New

THE SWEETS TOUR DE FRANCE

Taste your way around France without leaving Paris.

Our newest sweets tour takes families on a delicious trip around France, one bite at a time.

Created in collaboration with Airbnb, the Sweets Tour de France introduces kids to regional specialties while they find each stop on the map and discover how French history, geography, and a few rather influential queens helped shape the country’s pastry traditions.

History + geography + pâtisserie. Our kind of lesson.

October in Paris

A few things on our list this month (and next) in Paris

STREET ART MADELEINE

October 1–11

More than 200 works take over the crypt beneath La Madeleine for a free exhibition that might convince even your museum-resistant kid that art is worth a look.

SALON DU CHOCOCLATE

October 28–November 1

Five days devoted to chocolate and pâtisserie at Porte de Versailles, with tastings, demonstrations, workshops, and plenty for kids.

Come hungry.

MARY CASSET EXHIBIT

Oct 6 – Jan 31

Nearly 80 works from one of our favourite Impressionists. A very good excuse for a family afternoon at the Orsay.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM(S)

Through Oct 25

Museums after dark. Later, livelier, and much more fun than another audio guide.
